Welcome to Murm ("we," "our," or "the app"), a white noise and ambient sound application for iOS, macOS, and visionOS. By downloading, installing, or using Murm, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Summary
Use Murm to help you sleep, focus, and relax. Don't reverse-engineer or redistribute it. Subscriptions are managed through Apple. That's about it.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Murm, you confirm that you:
- Have read and understood these Terms of Service
- Agree to be bound by these terms
- Are at least 4 years old (or have parental consent where required)
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use Murm.
License & Permitted Use
You May
- Use Murm for personal, non-commercial purposes
- Install Murm on devices linked to your Apple ID
- Use generated sounds for sleep, focus, and relaxation
You May Not
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell Murm
- Record and commercially distribute generated audio
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices
Subscriptions & Payments
Murm offers both a free tier and a paid subscription (Murm Pro), managed entirely through Apple's App Store.

- Core noise library access
- Basic mixing controls
- Free forever, no strings attached
Murm Pro
- Full sound library and presets
- Auto-renewing monthly subscription
- Billed through your Apple ID
Billing Details
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase
- Subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
- Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy

No Medical Advice
Murm is designed for relaxation and focus. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have a sleep disorder or medical condition, consult a healthcare professional.
As-Is Basis
Murm is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Hearing Safety
Please use Murm at a safe listening volume. Prolonged exposure to loud sounds may damage your hearing. We recommend following Apple's built-in hearing safety guidelines.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chris J Craft shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
Loss of data or device issues
Interruption of service
Incompatibility with future OS versions
Any damages exceeding subscription fees paid
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to Murm if these terms are violated. You may stop using Murm at any time by:
- Cancelling your subscription (if applicable)
- Deleting the app from your devices
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
Use of Murm is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).
Changes to These Terms
If we update these terms, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Notify users through the App Store update notes
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
